Ocimum Biosolutions - Sr. Bioinformatics Analyst

Job Description:

1) In-depth understanding, analysis and processing of data from various post genomic technologies and their applications.
2) In-depth and hands on in analyzing data for Biomarker discovery, Pharmacogenomics and toxicology
3) In-depth knowledge in gene expression( genotyping, chromosomal copy number, SNPs, gene signatures ) and sequencing.
4) Wide understanding of commercially available bioinformatics/clinical genomics tools and databases.
5) Managing deliverables of BioIT services
6) Analyzing and documenting project requirements.
7) Developing biocomputing algorithms for tools development and data analysis.
8) Performing biological analysis on data from various domains like gene expression, sequencing,molecular lab.

Candidate Profile:

1) PhD or equivalent experience in life science/biology / statistics.
2) 4+ years demonstrated success in working in the pharmaceuticals and biotech , preferably in an industry research settings.
3) knowledge on Perl, C / java and any relational databases.
4) Co-ordination with sales team on projects to understand the expectations and requirements of scientists / lab.
5) Co-ordination with teams from IT, statistics, QA and sales team.
6) Ability to handle complex / multi projects in rapidly changing environment.
