Job Description:

1) To independently lead a program in identification and development of novel products based on lignocelluloses, starch and other carbohydrates.

Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated:

1) Should be well acquainted with natural product chemistry especially lignocelluloses and carbohydrate chemistry.
2) Should have experience in carrying out chemical conversions pertaining to various natural product fractions such as cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin starch.
3) Should have project management skills.

Candidate Profile:

1) M. Sc. (Organic chemistry), Post Graduate with minimum 10 to 12 years or PhD with minimum 6 to 8 years of industrial research experience.
2) Should have developed any one such product to commercialization stage.
3) Should work in a multi-disciplinary environment across various technology domains, work efficiently & effectively and possess the ability to deliver on commitments on time & within the budget.
4) Should demonstrate openness to new ideas and is expected to generate commercializable ideas for new products & processes.
5) Should possess the ability to coordinate & lead projects & programs through a structured stage-gate process.
6) Should possess the personal attributes of integrity & scientific creativity.
